Put on the computer what the public asks for, not everything about the US.
I asked for a total medal count. I have been looking for 20 minutes and still cannot find it.
I also asked for a specific medal count for a specific country and got a history of when they first started to compete in the Olympics. I asked for a medal count for 2018, as of today,
not a history of that country.

7 Things to Know Before You Buy Your Teddy Bear Puppy
Ok, now that you have spent countless hours looking at pictures on Google images, researched every local breeder, and watched numerous YouTube videos of adorable Teddy’s bouncing through the grass, you think you are ready to take the plunge into Teddy Bear puppy ownership! However, before you go on a PetCo shopping-spree trying to prepare for the arrival of your little bundle of fur, here are seven things you should know about Teddy’s BEFORE you decide to buy.
1. Teddy Bear Puppies are NEEDY
Don’t worry, this will not mean you love your little guy any less, it just means you are a normal human that needs alone time once in a while, not a super-dog with an unlimited capacity to chew dirty laundry.
2. Teddy’s need lots of exercise
Fortunately, your puppy will be small and will sleep A LOT the first couple of months; this means that you can wear him out by rolling around on the floor a few minutes or playing “chase me around the furniture” a few times. As they grow older, and bigger, they will seem to have an endless amount of energy and will be “Christmas-morning” excited every time you even walk near the front door. You will need to take them outside and allow them to explore and run around at least once a day (but they would prefer four or five times). I have a theory that our little Teddy’s idea of heaven is running around outside 12 hours a day, sleeping on my lap for 11 ½ hours, and licking the dirty dishes in the dishwasher for the other 30 minutes.
3. Potty training your Teddy will take several months
I thought potty training would be E-A-S-Y. I said to myself: “Don’t worry; you are going to be such a good teacher that your little guy will be completely trained by the end of the week. In fact you are going to be so ‘on top of it’ that he’ll probably even pop up on his two hind legs and pee right in the toilet just to earn your respect and admiration.”
Reality check time. Potty training is H-A-R-D. Just when you think your little guy has it all figured out, he relapses and poops right under your bed. Plan on potty training taking at least 2 months to get any consistency, and 5-6 months before you stop having to worry about accidents. But just like anything else, if you work really hard at it, it will happen sooner or later.
4. You’ll need plenty of chew toys during teething
It’s pretty surprising to see your puppy chewing on something small and hard, only to find out that it is one of his baby teeth that has fallen out! Once a Teddy is 4-6 months old they will start teething and it will be necessary to invest in some chew toys if you don’t want your wooden furniture to look like you bought it second hand from a family of hungry Beavers.
One thing that our Vet recommended and really helped our little guy during the teething process was buying a frozen “knuckle bone” that he could chew on a couple times a day. It was a lifesaver and occupied him for a good 30 minutes twice a day. You can buy them at your local butcher or grocery meat counter. Just be sure to store them in a zip-lock bag and re-freeze them immediately after your pup is done. Each bone lasted us about 2-3 weeks before you would want to replace them.
Other than knuckle bones, there are plenty of other chew toys that you could get your Teddy Bear puppy. However, most of the “non-edible” chew toys made of fabrics, plastics, and cloth did not hold his attention long and he lost interest in them after only a couple hours. The chew toys that he would stick with the longest were the organic, edible, toys: raw-hide bones, knee caps, bully sticks, or anything else with flavor that took a LONG time to chew down. We personally had a TON of success with the Bingo Buffalo Braided Bully Stick Dog Chew Treats. They last forever, and will occupy Buddy for hours on end, which makes them the cheapest “dog sitter” you could imagine.
5. You will need to invest in a retractable dog leash
Unless you live in the country, with lots of wide open spaces and no traffic, then be prepared for the biggest fear in your life to change to: Puppy running into the road.
As mentioned in item #2, you are going to have to take your Teddy outside to run around nearly every day. For the first couple of months your puppy will be a slow and awkward runner, you won’t have to worry about him “out-hopping” you. You’ll be able to let him wander around, as long as you stay between him and the road. Then one day your puppy will seem to have morphed into an Olympic level sprinter whose favorite new game is: “You can’t catch me!” It’s at this point that you will want to invest in a retractable leash.
With Teddy’s, a retractable leash is much preferable to a traditional leash because of the amount of running your Teddy will want to do. These types of dogs aren’t traditional walkers, they want to run as fast and as far as their stubby little legs will take them. Having a retractable leash means that you will spend 90% less time during your runs untangling the leash from your Teddy’s feet. Until you have untangled a leash 35 times during a 10 minute walk, it’s hard to really know how valuable a retractable leash is.
You don’t need to go overboard and get a monster leash designed for large dogs, but you also won’t want to get the smallest size either. Teddy’s have a tendency to forget they are on a leash and run full-speed until the line runs out and they are yanked backwards into reality. I recommend getting one of the retractable leashes designed for dogs up to 26 lbs. It will be more than strong enough to handle your little guy and you won’t ever have to worry about it breaking while on a walk. 26 Bars makes a very high quality retractable leash you can Find Here. 6. Don’t be afraid of breaking your Teddy
The first few weeks my wife and I were so afraid of hurting our little guy that one of the biggest arguments of our marriage was when I taught him to jump off of the 24-inch couch. We treated our puppy like he would break a bone of you hugged him to hard. It took us about 3 months before we realized that these dogs are basically indestructible.
Now, let’s be clear, I don’t mean that you should attempt in any way to hurt or harm your dog, or even put him in any potentially dangerous situation based on my advice. I simply mean that these dogs are a lot tougher and more durable than they look. In fact they were originally bred as therapy dogs to be used for individuals with disabilities. They made perfect pets not only because of their extreme loyalty and companionship, but also because they have softer bones which won’t break as easily as other dog breeds. In fact, I once inadvertently lifted my dining room chair leg up and sat it down right on Buddy’s paw (and I am not a light guy!). I felt terrible and my wife was sure that he was going to need life-saving foot surgery. He ending up walking gingerly for a day but was back to running around like normal within 24 hours.
It’s ordinary to be concerned about accidentally hurting your puppy, but don’t worry too much, Teddy’s are pretty tough.
7. Prepare yourself to love them more than you ever thought you could love a dog
It is possible to love your Teddy to much though! Don’t obsess about their safety, check their breathing every 5 minutes during their nap, or call your neighbors to check on them when you are out. They will be fine!
Treat your Teddy right, and you will have a best friend for the rest of their lives. And don’t be surprised when you find yourself talking to them in a baby voice or letting them lick your face! It’s hard to say no when you feel so much love for your pup!

I really really really really want a teddy bear dog thanks so much for giving me some tips before I buy one.
I’ve had a shih tzu & currently a 15yrs old bichon. I love both breeds so when I heard about this breed I knew I had to have one. We’ve had her since she was eight wks. She’s now two yrs & has brought so much joy & happiness to our home. We are now searching for another one to be a companion, but as anyone ķnows who has one,a good Teddy Bear puppy is very hard to find. It took us @ least a year to find a healthy, well bred puppy.

I looked for years! It seemed that every so called breeder was a puppy mill front. Finally found my Gus from a breeder near Punxsutawney. She was a little nutty, but not Amish. Gus was socialized and everything checked out. He was the best decision I ever made…. and I have 3 kids lol. I have her info if you are still interested. I’m just north of Pittsburgh, so the drive wasn’t terrible and totally worth it.

Hi, I have a 12.5 month old Teddy Bear who is very agressive we it me. He bites my hands even tho I ball up my hand, or make limp hands, make high pitched bark. I’ve tried time out in small gated room for several minutes, holding him down at neck and waiting for him to divert his eyes (he doesn’t do that so much), muzzling his mouth with my hand. When he’s in that mood nothing seems to work. It’s usually at night before bed, but lately it has been in am as well. Any other tips would be appreciated. BTW when he is not doing this, he is sitting on my lap chewing a deer antler, or bringing me toys to throw.

This article is brilliant! Nala is about a year and a half and we have had her since she was 12 weeks. The energy and running around comment made me actually lol as it is incredibly accurate. Every item on the list is spot on though. I couldn’t imagine having another type of dog we are actually thinking of getting another teddy. I would add as a helpful comment to all new owners that anything on the ground that fits in those little jaws is fair game so make sure those lightning cords are put out of reach!
You have described my dog, Snowball!! He’s a Bichon and everything on your list except the potty training. He picked up on that right away!! He’s by my side everywhere we go, very loyal to me!! I bought him for my sons, but he is my dog! He’s 5 and we walk everyday. He goes with me in my golf cart everywhere!! I feel guilty leaving him. I was thinking of getting another dog to keep him company, but I think he will get jealous!!
I can tell you first hand teddy bears are more than a pet… I just recently lost my Coco she was my world she was 5 and I am devastated my life is not the same. The love I shared with her was out of this world teddy bears my Coco are the best dogs anyone could ever ask for!! I feel like I lost my child because that’s what they are and they make it that way so if your prepared to have another baby or your first (so to speak) Teddy Bears are the perfect choice
Love our reddy bear. Potty trained in 2 days. We have a doggie door and a fenced yard. Will not eat people food. Will not go out the front door without a leash and permission. Loves the motorhome. The only problem with him is that he doesn’t like to eat.
I got my Teddy, Tripp Brodie on March 17, 2013, he is my joy, right next to my grandchildren!! I don’t agree with the statement that the Teddies are harder to potty train… my Tripp camp home on St. Patrick’s day and was 100% housebroken by May (we used bells on the door, he has now decided that he likes to bring a ball and drop it in our lap, then we ask him if he needs to go out and he goes and rings his bells).They are high energy but he will play for hours while I am working from home. He is more social than any dog I have ever experienced, we travel with him frequently and never has he had an accident in a hotel or visiting friends. Tripp is 9 lbs but not tiny, his bone structure is small. His best friend is my best friend’s 110 lb Doberman. He doesn’t realize he is little. He is a jumper, big jumper. He is friendly with everyone he meets and loving beyond words! Tripp is a trip and a Blessing. ♡♡♡♡♡

Shichon Dog Information
Shichon dogs are a hybrid which is a combination of two different pure-breeds. It's a cross between a Bichon Frise and a Shih Tzu . The best way to understand what type of dog your Shichon will be is to read both of its ancestors descriptions and understand that any combination of characteristics could be present in your pet. Some Shichon dog breeders are breeding multi generation shichon dogs. Here are the examples
Shih Tzu Bred to Bichon = F1----the most common
Shih Tzu Bred to Shichon = F1B--second most common
Bichon Bred to Shichon = F1B
Shichon bred to Shichon= F2
General Description
The Shichon takes its appearance from both breeds. For the most part, the Shichon will have a double coat that has an outer coat which is loosely curled and fluffy and an undercoat that is fine, soft and silky. The undercoat of this breed will usually be between three and four inches in length. For the most part, this breed is considered to be hypo-allergenic because it does not shed much, they have hair and not fur. The colors of the Shichon will vary based on the colors of the parents. But many of them do lose their color as they get bigger, especially the first generations F1. . Many turn almost white like the Bichon Frise, but they may look like the shih tzu as a puppy and change as they mature.

The Shichon is known for inheriting some of the best qualities from both parent breeds. They tend to be spunky and alert and love to play. They are also very affectionate and crave being with people. They become devoted to their families and do not do well when separated for long periods of time. They want to be with their people as much as possible. We have had SEVEN of them become certified therapy dogs. This breed is typically good with other pets, especially when socialized at an early age. This dog gets along well enough with children, but it may be a good idea to socialize this breed at an early age as well as to supervise play time with children to make sure that the dog does not get hurt as a result of its small size.
Owners should be aware that the Shichon tend to be intelligent and is also independent and bold. They are easy to live with and are typically easy to train. They get along with practically everyone, although they do make fairly good watch dogs. When necessary, this dog will bark to alert its family that someone is nearby, but this dog is not one that will usually bark excessively.
Most shichons will be in the 9-12in range, but they may be a little bigger or a little smaller depending on the history behind their parents. You need to look at 5 generations behind them to determine their true size, and sometimes they will fool you, by getting bigger then you thought and bigger then mom or dad, then on the other hand they might stay smaller then their parents. That is why it is very important to know the history behind their mom and dad.
The full grown weight of the shichon dog can be any where from about 8lbs to 25lbs. depending on the the genetics behind the parents. Again you need to look at 5 generation behind the parents to determine the size they can be. Most of our shichons tend to be in the 12-14lb range our smallest being 6lbs our biggest being 22lbs.
The average life expectancy of the Shichon tends to be about 15 years, provided that it is given good care and receives regular check-ups. The Shichon can suffer from any health issue that is known in the Shih Tzu breed or the Bichon breed. But because the Shih Tzu and Bichon do NOT share the same health concerns you are most likely to have fewer health issues. If one of the parents have a health issue the puppy is mostly to inherit it. If a prospective owner is concerned about possible health problems, it is a good idea to check the parentage of the dog to determine whether there may be serious health problems possible.
Shichon puppies were bred specifically to bring out the best of both of the parent breeds. The Shichon as a designer breed has become popular in the last few years and is valued as a family and companion dog.
The Shichon does not have a lot of significant maintenance issues. For the most part, this dog will manage to take care of its exercise needs on its own. That said, this breed of dog will enjoy being taken out on walks and will enjoy playing out in the open, provided that it is given appropriate supervision. The coat of the Shichon will require regular brushing and the dog will need to be bathed when necessary to keep the coat healthy and clean. Generally, the Shichon is not a heavy shedder, so there are usually not any concerns in that regard, which is one reason why this dog is so popular with families with allergies
The best environment for the Shichon will be one in which it can live indoors with its family and have playtime on occasion outside. This is not a dog that will do well on the outside. It is well suited for apartment life considering that it is small, can get sufficient exercise on its own and does not bark excessively. It gets along well with children as well as with other dogs. Training may be a good idea for this breed, not because of poor behavior, but because the dog is intelligent and loves to learn and please its owners. Due to the fact that this dog enjoys being with humans so much and craves affection, this is not a dog that will do well in an environment where it will be left alone for long periods of time.

Facts About Teddy Bear Dogs
The bichon frise often is one of a teddy bear dog's parents.
If you've always wanted a small, snuggly companion who's also smart and sweet-tempered, a teddy bear dog might just be the perfect fit for you. Bred to be adorable, loving and hypo-allergenic, teddy bears started out as therapy dogs but appeal to just about anyone they meet.
Hybrid Parentage
Teddy bears are "designer dogs," hybrids of two or more breeds. Most commonly, their parents are Shih Tzus and bichon frises or bichon-poodle mixes, although breeders continue to experiment with adding other dogs, such as schnauzers, to the gene pool. Because of their small size and sweet nature, teddy bears can be perfect pets whether you live in an apartment or a large house.
Therapeutic History
Teddy bears joined the canine world pretty recently, around 2000. Initially, they served as therapy dogs for handicapped children. Unlike the stereotypical small-dog temperament -- hyper, yippy and sometimes anxious -- teddy bears have mellow, loving personalities that make them perfect companions. If you encounter one, you might just fall in love -- and living with a teddy bear usually enforces that feeling.
Perfect for People with Allergies
Teddy bears are soft and cuddly, but they don't shed much or, in some cases, at all. They're also bred not to produce much dander, a very common allergen. While specific dogs' hair and dander vary a little, depending on their ancestry, most teddy-bear breeders focus on producing hypo-allergenic dogs. If you sneeze every time you're around canines, talk to a breeder about finding you a teddy bear you can live with.
Small Size and Smart Minds
Contributing to their resemblance to teddy bears, these dogs remain stuffed-animal size throughout their lives. As adults, they usually weigh between 8 and 16 pounds. That's not the only way they resemble their namesakes, though; they look a lot like teddy bears, with short noses, fluffy coats and big eyes. On top of their cute appearance, teddy bears tend to be smart, easy to train and extremely affectionate. They get along well with other animals and kids. Best of all, they aren't usually one-person dogs, so your teddy bear will probably adore you and your partner equally.

I asked for a total medal count. I have been looking for 20 minutes and still cannot find it.
I also asked for a specific medal count for a specific country and got a history of when they first started to compete in the Olympics. I asked for a medal count for 2018, as of today,
not a history of that country.
