Nutella Brownies (2 Ingredients!)
2 Ingredient Nutella Brownies: Rich fudgy chocolate brownies with only 2 ingredients? Can you believe these easy brownies have NO flour or brownie mix?!
When I first heard about this Nutella Brownies recipe I was very skeptical! However, they are some of the best brownies I’ve ever had.
Can you believe how easy these are? NO flour, NO brownie mix, just 2 single ingredients.
The secret to making the perfect Nutella brownies is to make sure you whip your eggs up. You can certainly use a stand/hand mixer if you have it. I have neither, so I used a whisk and lots of elbow grease. (My favorite secret ingredient!)
These are great on their own, but I like to add powdered sugar to make mine look extra fancy.
Rich, Delicious Nutella Brownies

Easiest 3 Ingredient Nutella Brownies

These Nutella brownies only need 3 ingredients and are ready in less 30 minutes from start to finish. I created this recipe back in 2013 and I’ve been amazed to see how it’s spread across the internet.
It remains one of my favorite recipes of all time and is a go-to dessert recipe that I make for potlucks and parties.
Here is a quick video I recently made showing how easy it is to make these brownies!
The inspiration came from these 4 Ingredient Nutella Cookies, which I also love. I adjusted the recipe to make them fudgier, chewier and more brownie-like.

These baked up wonderfully. Chewy, fudgy in the middle, tasting of chocolate and hazelnut. They definitely satisfy my brownie cravings.
It takes about 5 minutes to mix everything together and 15 minutes to bake. Yup, these babies are ready in under 30 minutes.

If you really love Nutella, I have a whole collection of Nutella recipes.
I also have a category of easy recipes with 4-or-less ingredients.
Easiest Nutella Brownies

Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cup Nutella
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9 inch x 9 inch metal baking pan. Add all ingredients into a large bowl and mix until batter is smooth. Pour into baking pan and smooth top with spatula.
- Bake for about 15 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Be careful not to bake too long otherwise brownies will dry out. Let brownies cool and set before cutting and serving.

that looks easy enough…We dont use nutella as it has hydrogenated palm oil on the ingredient and its a no-no in my home! But this one looks super easy! I also need to try an egg free version!
We love Nutella! 🙂 Hydrogenated palm oil is one of the healthier oils so, we definitely use it 🙂
Wow! Looks delicious! I love Nutella!
Me too! I know I make way too many Nutella recipes on this blog, but I really really love it. Perhaps there should be a Nutella sandwich?
Hello! Can we substitute peanut butter for this recipe thank you!!
sorry, this recipe does not work with a peanut butter substitute. The peanut butter won’t give it any chewy, fudgy texture and peanut butter is not sweet enough on its own.
Really simple ingredients!! Can’t wait to try n bake it.. Btw the eggs need to be normal or large?
I used large. Hope you like the recipe!
i love this recipe! i only use one jar of 371 g, but it still comes out perfect! not too sweet, but you can really taste the nutella!
glad you like it!
Hi these look amazing I would love to bake them for my sisters baby shower this weekend.
Any chance you could convert this into grams for me please xx
sorry i don’t know the conversions. You might try searching the internet for a conversion
I made these yesterday and they are perfect! Moist, chewy, and delicious! I made them in an 8×8 pan which made it last 20-25 minutes in the oven. I completely recommend anyone to make this considering it’s ridiculously easy and no one will ever guess it only took three ingredients! Plus, it tastes great.
Awesome! So glad you enjoy them. =)
Looks awesome! How many square brownies would it approximately make?
The batter fills a 9 x 9 pan. As for number of brownies, that really depends on how big you cut your brownies.
In the process of making the brownies but I don’t think the batter consistency is right.. How should it be? Hopefully u reply fast lol
I can’t remember off the top of my head, but I remember it being quite thick.
is all purpose flour plain flour?
I think so. I mean, I don’t know where you are coming from and plain flour might mean something different where you are, but you should check your flour bag and it should say all purpose.
I made the brownies and they were sooo good! Really easy to make and so yummy! I realised all purpose flour is plain flour in the UK.
Oh so glad to hear they came out well for you!
Can you use the whole jar of Nutella
I’m not sure…I also don’t know how big your jar of Nutella is since they come in different sizes.
my long distance boyfriend’s birthday is coming up, which means i need to celebrate with something along the lines of my thirteen-cookie christmas platter. since i don’t have it in me to spend a full twenty four hours in the kitchen backing again, i was looking for a few absolutely amazing recipes, and he does adore nutella.
my question is, both overall and in terms of fudgy-oozy-deliciousness, is this or your chewy nutella blondie better?
I prefer this one. It’s must more fudgy.
Yum! This recipe is an instant hit in a household with four Nutella lovers! Thanks for sharing.
So glad your family enjoys it!
Mine came out flat.
I’m not sure where your recipe went wrong. Sorry. It sounds like maybe your batter is too wet. Also I’m not sure what you mean by it came out flat. Did it not rise at all? the brownies won’t rise that much.
can i cut the entire recipe by half and use a 7 inch circle pan to bake it?
I wouldn’t recommend cutting the recipe by half. I don’t think you’ll have enough for a 7 inch circle pan. I’d recommend keeping the recipe as is, bake it in your 7 inch pan and bake a little longer. They will be a bit thicker than mine turned out but they should still be good.
is there a need to put parchment paper after greasing?
Just tried with half flour and half cocoa powder… It’s much darker and richer! Can’t wait until they’re ready.
Interesting, sounds good!
used half plain flour and half self raising and put them in muffin cases for little cakes and the kids love them
Really great recipe. So simple. Next time I will add just a pinch of sugar and maybe some nuts. Thanks!
glad you liked it!
Hi thanks so much for this! This is such a simple recipe. I added some non-fat sour cream and it’s so moist and tasty! I put them in small cupcake cups and my son ate two immediately!
I’m glad you and your son enjoyed them!
Ive done this a couple of times and it all turned out great! For those who needs the conversion in grams, here it is. 280gm Nutella 62gm flour, 2 eggs, a pinch of salt and chopped nuts for sprinkles..
iTs so fun to share recipes.. I’ve been having fun baking and trying out new recipes!
thanks for providing the conversions to grams
Hi, I found the exact same recipe on facebook, but what kind of flour do you use? Just the regular all-purpose?
Where did you find the recipe on facebook? And yes, regular all purpose.
how many does this serve?
Well it bakes in a 9 x 9 pan, so I guess it depends how big you cut your slices. Somewhere between 9-12?
This is wonderful! I added a banana for extra creaminess… yum!
Oh what a good idea!
these came amazing i love them and they are so easy to bake. i love Nutella and i now love this recipe its so easy to make
So glad you like this recipe!
Hi there may I know how long can it lasts after its cooked??can it be kept in refrigerator ??
I’m sorry, these have only ever lasted me until the next day. I don’t know beyond that, but I would say it should be kept in refrigerator after a day since it’s made with yogurt.
Can any thing replace the all purpose flour
Sorry, I haven’t experimented with replacements.
i am almost done with my brownies thanks for the recipe i’m sure they will be delicious. YYYYYYYUUUUUUUMMMMMMYYYYYYYY.
So glad to hear you were able to make them!
Hi Kirby..I’m 14 and want to sell these at school to make some money…its quick and easy!!
Thing is…is a regular jar of nutella going to be enough to add up to 1 1/2 cups of nutella..or do i need to buy to jars. Thanks
I’m not sure. I would think it should be enough. I always buy the Costco size Nutella so I don’t know about the regular size ones.
Hi Kirby. Approximately how many tablespoons is 1 1/4 cups of Nutella?
I believe there are 4 tbsp in 1/4 cup, so 20?
My kids love them. So easy and fast to make.
Added a bit more flour, weren’t very fudgy and if I gabe it to someone I don’t think they would’ve differentiated between if it was Nutella or ordinary chocolate.
Actually if you add more flour it will make it less fudgy. I think you can taste the Nutella
Would it work with a 9×13 pan… its what I usually make brownies in. And I dont have another pan.. 🙁
unfortunately, there is not enough batter for a 9 x 13. You would have to adjust the batter amount and probably also adjust baking time.
Okay. 🙂 Thanks so much for getting back right away!! ? I know it’s late. Ill try it and let you know how it turns out
Hope it turns out well!
Hi. Can I use aluminium tray to bake them?
I’m not sure what you mean by aluminum tray. If it is flat without any edges your batter might spill over. Also is it is 9 x 9? because you need something 9 x 9 for the batter amount the recipe makes.
I don’t know if you have heard of Biscoff Spread. But it is soooo good. It’s basically made out of crushed biscoff cookies. Do you think this recipe would work replacing the nutella with that?
I love biscoff! I don’t think it will work in this recipe as a direct substitute though
hi, ive baked them for 15 minutes but when inserting toothpick in center it does not come clean but by the edges it does. do it continue baking? afraid to dry them out like you mentioned…
You should probably cook it slightly longer. It’s a little bit of a judgment call. Does it look done? Also adding the nuts might increase the cooking time slightly. I’m also not sure if adding nuts might break the batter up too much, depending on how much you added
i also put the nut topping on before baking. dont know if this was a mistake or not..
I just made these, and they are phenomenal! Thank you for the recipe! I could not believe how simple it was.
I’m so glad you like them!
Hello, when you say 9×9 tin, do you mean 9 inches?
yes a 9 inch by 9 inch pan
Lol love the dude didn’t like Nutella or eggs, one ingredient left.. Btw looking for something gluten free, glass of water seems the recommended recipe
I’ve got quite a few gluten free recipes, including a gluten free Nutella cake which is only 2 ingredients! https://kirbiecravings.com/2012/03/2-ingredient-flourless-nutella-cake.html
what will happen if i use i cup of flour instead of half?
they won’t taste very good unless u also double all the other ingredients and bake it in a bigger pan.
Loved the recipie… It turned out really awesome. I had some friends over for dinner and I served these brownies with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce.
I doubled the quantity, and it turned out perfect .
Thankyou for the lovely receipe
I’m so glad you loved the recipe! It sounds delicious with the ice cream and choc sauce!
It’s so easy, I loved it. I used Ganache instead of Nutella and it was delicious!
Ooh, using ganache. Interesting! Glad it worked!
These took more like 30 minutes to bake before they weren’t visibly wet (and even then they jiggled like cheesecake when they came out of the oven), but eventually after letting them cool they firmed up. They came out like a cross between fudge and brownies, and they’re definitely easy! I’ll keep them in my file of desserts to quick make when I’m surprised by needing something. Thanks for sharing!
I’m glad these eventually turned out for you but they should not have taken so long. I think maybe you had too much Nutella and I’m wondering what you are using the measure out your Nutella.
Do u have to use purpose flower or can u just use normal flour
i’m not sure what you mean by normal flour?
Measuring cup, leveled off with a knife. The cooking time could very well be my oven, as I have a new one and haven’t had time to properly calibrate it. These were even firmer after cooling overnight, and could even be removed from the pan without using a spatula.
The cookies definitely do firm up significantly after cooled. I always tell people that it’s okay if it looks a little soft at first because it does firm up after a while
as stated in the recipe, 350F
BTW, these look amazing. I’m gonna make a ton of these tomorrow.
hope u like them!
Can i use an aluminium baking pan which is 310mm length x 214mm width?
A 9 x 9 inch pan makes a thin layer of brownies, so if you use a pan that is any bigger, you won’t have enough batter.
I only have a 8×8 baking pan how should I change the recipe?
that is close enough that you shouldnt have to change the recipe. you might need to bake longer though since the brownies will be slightly thicker.
Can you use the jif hazelnut spread in place of Nutella if someone doesn’t gave Nutella?
I haven’t tried it with jif. It may work but I’m not sure if the consistency is exactly the same so they might be too runny, or too dry
can i use melted dark choc chips instead of nuttela? i feel like i could cause its the same consistency…
No, melted choc chips does not have the same consistency and also does not have the same fat content, etc, so it won’t work the same
I made this for a get-together with my friends. I can’t believe how well they turned out. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe!
yay! I love this recipe!
This is so good, I’ve made it as a birthday brownie, very much appreciated! Thanks a lot for the recipe!
So glad you like it!
Very tasty recipe. I added a teaspoon of vanilla and a dash of salt.
1 cup size?! How big should the cup be?
I’m using US measuring sizes. There is a 1 cup in US measuring sizes, not sure what the conversion is for you
can I bake it in a toaster oven?
i have not tried, but I usually don’t have much success doing so and you may need to adjust the settings to get it to work in a toaster oven
It seems your recipe has global appeal.. How nice! All purpose flour is often referred to as plain flour in much of Europe. It’s the white non-whole grain wheat flour that is not specially made specifically for pastries or cakes, and is not self-raising.
1.4 cups in *Imperial* Tablespoons (they’re bigger than US Tablespoons) is about 17, although saying 296 ml makes more sense.
One US cup is about 240 ml.
350 F is approximately 177 Celsius.
9 inches is about 228.6 mm.
Hope that helps.
Oh yeah, 2 eggs are still roughly 2 eggs! 😉
thanks for taking the time to provide these conversions!
In the US, Nutella is commonly sold in grocery stores in a 13 ounce jar… That comes out perfectly to 1 1/4 cups. (I measured it out to double check).
p.s. I am using this recipe tonight for a kids group to make at church… Did a trial run at home… Yum!
thanks for sharing the conversions!
I used super fine milled oats instead of wheat flour (can eat wheat) and a pinch of whole oats and omg! They didn’t last the day between myself, my son and my partner. And my son lived making them, he wants to make them every weekend. We are all Nutella lovers =)
that’s awesome! I have a whole collection of Nutella recipes, I hope you enjoy!
I love them they fast gorgeous I added a bit of sugar well half a table spoon you should try it .
hmm, I wonder if adding more sugar would make it a bit too sweet? I found it pretty sweet as is. but i’m glad it worked out for you
Well I didn’t add a whole load of nutella
right, I’m just saying that for me, using the recipe as is, i found them pretty sweet as is. but of course people’s palates differ.
Actually, I apologize. I was mistaken which recipe you left your comment on. I can see how a little more sugar on these would be good. I previously thought you were commenting on my single serving Nutella brownie recipe, which is quite sweet on it’s own. Next time I make these, I’ll try it with a little more sugar. thanks!
I’m only tweelve I made them yesterday by myself
Made these just now…LUUUSSHHHH!! THANK UU 🙂 Gonna be my trick munchies attack!
Just made these and they are delicious. it’s still quite soft in the center.. almost raw, even have 17 minutes.. but from what we tasted from the edges were soooo good. May try cooking them just a bit longer next time 🙂 thanks for the recipe!
did you use a smaller pan? if so, your batter will be thicker and needs a longer cooking time. glad you like it though!
I have to admit…I’m giggling at the comments. Maybe a 1/2 c of common sense is called for? 😉 I’m only kidding. These look delicious and just what I need in a pinch. Thanks so much for posting this!
lol. Hope you enjoy!
You are a very patient person. I will be making these for Valentines Day, they sound delicious.
Haha. Sometimes it’s hard…I hope you enjoy the recipe!
Very nice simple recipe. I have my first batch cooling in the kitchen. I might have committed a no-no right off the bat, since I added a banana which I mashed with a fork.
The only thing that happened was that the batter climbed in the corners of my baking dish. But that’s not an issue since I just use whatever I have on hand in terms of tools. I understand a proper baking pan would be in order.
Although, all the pictures here were of the “result” and from what I saw, the same stack of brownies. Maybe adding more variety to the pictures would be nice. For instance, also adding some preparation pictures to give ideas of how it should look like it.
On that note, thank you very much for the recipe. A very nice stepping stone to more baking and even adventurous customization of the recipe.
thank you for the suggestion. I do sometimes add photos of the preparation, but it’s actually quite time consuming to stop in between steps and take photos. so i usually don’t do it unless i have the time, otherwise a hour recipe can easily become a 2 hour one.
Really? Did you really delete my comment from today? That’s quite insulting to be silenced while I just wanted to share an opinion and information…
I’m sorry if you feel insulted but your comment was not deleted…No comments ever appear on the blog until they are read and approved by me. Since I am not at my computer 24/7, I usually only have a chance to read and approve comments 1-2 times a day. i like to respond to the comments and filter out spam, which is why I use this method. I found your comment very helpful–I had no issues with it and no reason to delete. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
Will this recipe work in a muffin tin?
are you making individual cupcake liners? otherwise it’ll be really hard to remove them
My brownies taste terrific. My problem is that they are VERY soft and had to be eaten with a fork. What did I do wrong? I did mix by hand rather than pull out the electric blender. Please advise.
Did you let them cool and set? if you dig in right away, they will be soft. if you let them cool, they will be chewier and not as soft. If you did let them cool, perhaps you just removed them from the oven too early and you might need to bake them longer. you should be able to slice them easily.
I’ve had this recipe for several years and made it 1 million times. We are German and we have Nutella on hand at all times. Quick note – I always add a couple pinches of instant espresso powder, NesCafé or God forbid (shh) Sanka as well as a hearty pour of vanilla and a pinch of salt. Really makes them KILLER.. If you have the ingredients and a minute more try it out.
If you happen to also have some Frangelico liquor kicking around ( hazelnut liquor that we have maybe in the house if we are hosting the family for Christmas it’s super extra special and not cheap- but lasts a really long time) add a glug of that in .. If you glug too much sprinkle a little extra flour in the mix!
thanks for sharing! I’m so glad you are enjoying this recipe =)
Also I’ve made this with coconut flour if you got some gluten-free folks
in your life. You have to be careful with the coconut flour as it could possibly be a replacement for cat litter as it absorbs liquid like crazy!! Add the flour in a TBS at a time mixing it in after each TBS you add until you get what someone who has made brownies before or has baked before would agree to be the proper texture for the batter. Quinoa flour needs to be used in the same way. Don’t try using almond flour/ meal or a nut flour in this recipe.. Too much fat= big slimy mess!!
thanks for all the tips!
hi..can i make this in muffin tray ..and if yes wat should b the baking time
I think so, but I haven’t done it so I don’t know the baking time.
Hi, I just discovered you and I’m so excited to try your recipes. I have a few questions about this. I have a 9×13 pan, I know they will come out thinner but how long should I bake for? Also, what’s the consistency like, is it more chewy or cakey? Last question, if I add baking soda/powder will they rise more? I’m not a baker. Sorry if the questions seem basic. Thank you so much.
i dont recommend a 9 x 13 pan. the brownies, as you can see from the picture, are already quite thin in a 9 x 9 and i don’t think you’ll have enough batter for a bigger pan. consistency is chewy. do not add baking powder or soda because then the brownies become cakey
Thank you so much. I’m making them tomorrow in a 9×9. So excited. Thanks you again.
Hi again, I forgot one question. Which taste better the easy Nutella cookies or brownies?? Lol thanks again!!
i like them both! it just depends which you prefer
i dont have an oven at home – can this be done in a ricecooker?
i dont think so. i know cakes can sometimes be made in rice cookers but i dont think steaming would work for brownies.
Please c350Fan you give me the weight of the flour. I am in the UK and don’t know ‘cup’ measurements. Also we use either Self Raising Flour or Plain so I think it will work with the Self Raising. I also am wondering how much Nutella to use for the same reason, not cup measurements here. For anyone else in the UK the oven temperature of 350F will be 180C (we are Celcius here now). I look forward to some answers, weights and measurements etc. I can’t wait to try it. Thank you.
there’s a lot of great internet resources that should provide the conversions you are looking for. I’d try just typing your questions into a google search. hope that helps!
what kind of flour can i use?
as stated in the recipe, all purpose
I already do a Nutella Sandwich. Peanut butter san with Nutella in place of jam. I like & so do the grandkids.
My son just attempted and the batter was REALLY thick, not like brownies at all. He followed the 3 to a T. Any suggestions for making its smoother?
did you try cooking it? the batter is supposed to be thick
Hi my nephew is 4 years old and diabetic 1 and was wondering the carb content is it s hard to make choices for snakes
for him and was wondering about this if you knew the content of this recipe
I dont know all the nutrition information but there are many helpful sites on the internet where you can input ingredients and get a breakdown. I think Nutella has a lot of sugar though so I’m guessing it would not be good for a diabetic
May I use dark chocolate instead of Nutella? Because, alais, I’m intolerant to nuts…
The recipe won’t work with a dark chocolate only replacement. the reason the recipe works is because Nutella itself already has sugar, oils, etc. sorry!
If I add more flour with it make more brownies 😛
…or will they come out too dry :/
they will come out dry, so please don’t add more flour! you can always double the recipe and make two batches
this was so good.
i love nutella and ther recipes i tried taste more choclate than hazlenut but this is in the middle and its my favorite recipe to make with nutella
so glad you enjoyed it!
How much is 11/4 cup in liters? And is 11/4= 2cups and 3/4cup?
It’s 1 cup + 1/4 cup! Sorry if the format wasn’t clear
i would like to make the brownies but reading over the comments I see references to nuts and sour cream which I do not see in your receipe. how come?
I dont see any references to nuts and sour cream, but perhaps people were talking about variations they made to the recipe. neither of those ingredients are in the 3 ingredient recipe
I made the recipe, but I didn’t have a 9 by 9 pan. All my pans were too big so I knew the brownies would be too thin and hard if I cooked them in a larger pan. I have ramekins, so I put the batter in 3 of them (after greasing them in coconut oil) and baked for 25 minutes and they came out like nutella lava brownie/cakes. These were delicious! Thank you for the recipe!
nice! so glad these worked for you!
Ahh I tried this today and it turned out great! They were perfect!
yay!! I’m so happy to hear that!
I am not a big fan of nutella so i did peanut butter and chocolate chips instead! 😉
I have a a 13x9x2 cake pan…..if i double the recipe how long should I cool it?
cooling time should be similar since the brownies will be about the same thickness
I was a bit hesitant but it does work and is delicious 🙂 the simplest brownie to make, thank you!
I’m so happy you enjoyed it!
Can I use Nocilla instead of nutella ? Please reply fast!
that should work but I have not tried

Incredible 3-Ingredient Nutella Brownies
One bite of these soft, chewy brownies and you won’t believe they were only made with 3 ingredients! These irresistibly fudgy treats are SO easy to make and taste 10x better than brownies from a box!
If there’s one indulgence I love, it’s chocolate. Me + chocolate = foreva. During my pregnancy, it was BAD. And, strangely, my perpetual craving still isn’t easily satisfied. So, I’ve been trying lots of different recipes lately. (Which is my way of saying, eating a lot of chocolate.) Trying them out on my friends, trying them out on my readers, and trying to remember to hit the exercise bike in the process. Two out of three of those have been a relative success.
In the process, I believe I’ve found the mother of all brownie recipes. These babies only need three ingredients, five minutes, and a glass of milk (or scoop of vanilla ice cream) on the side. Or nothing at all… they’re perfect on their own!
These incredible brownies have a fudgy yet cakey texture, with that classic creamy Nutella flavor. They’re super quick to make and absolutely addictive, especially to the choco-holics in your life. You have just GOT to try them!

Incredible 3-Ingredient Nutella Brownies
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup (13 oz.) Nutella
1/2 cup all purpose flour
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly coat an 8x8-inch (or 9x9) baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour into prepared dish and smooth top with spatula.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Be careful not to over-bake, otherwise brownies will dry out. Let cool before cutting and serving.
For fluffier, cake-like brownies, add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
I can’t believe these are only three ingredients!! They sound awesome!
Why are these so easy to make? Now I will have to try it!
Moist and delicious! i love baking with Nutella!
Ok, you were totally serious about the three ingredient part. That makes these officially my most favorite brownies on Earth! You are brilliant!
I need this in my life!! Holy delicious!
Ahhh this is dangerously easy!! Of course I’m going to try these soon!
They look great… and you cut them so perfectly! What a perfect little treat for my kids after school. :)
oh my goodness, this is beyond dangerous. Love it!
how simple and lovely flavors
Only 3 ingredients?! I love fudgy brownies and these look soooo amazing! Pinned!
Has anyone ACTUALLY MADE THESE? If you have, please comment on how they turned out, tasted, etc.
Hi Peggy – I just posted the recipe today, so no one is likely to have reviewed it yet. However, I’ve made these multiple times and can personally assure you that they taste wonderful! You can read my post for a more detailed description.
A tried and true recipe is always the BEST. Thank you for sharing
Gorgeous brownies, Georgia! What’s not to love about Nutella and only 3 ingredients?!
Thabitha in South Africa says
I’m gonna try these today
I wish I had one of these right now!
Oh my, I love this recipe. it’s hard to believe it’s only three ingredients.
You had me at Nutella……and brownies…..two of my favorite things!! :)
Georgia, these look incredibly delicious! I’m a choc-a-holic in the biggest way, and if Nutella is involved, forget about it! :)
Made these today using Trader Joe’s version of Nutella. Very quick and easy to mix together and delicious. They don’t rise much so I might try the baking soda option next time. Great, easy recipe and just one bowl to wash up.
GEEEEEEEEEENIUS! loooovelovelove how simple & easy these brownies are (I mean…3 ingredients). and of course NUTELLA=LOVE
Just made these for my hubby and kids, and they ate the whole pan in minutes. Sooooo delicious and fudgey! The Nutella flavor was subtle, more just like a crazy easy chocolate brownie, so I smeared some extra Nutella over the top while hot and it was amazing! Thanks for the recipe!
Thank you for sharing this recipe. I just tried it and my one-year old LOVED it!
How long would you bake it if it were in a 9×13 pan?
I’ve only ever made these in a square pan, but I would stick with the same baking time and just keep an eye on them. Hope you enjoy!
Look so good,Georgia, are you sure only three ingredients? And how much time would this take altogether?
Yes, just 3 ingredients (unless you like fluffier brownies, then add 1/2 tsp. baking soda). They take under 10 minutes to come together.
Just made these and they taste awesome! I used a 9×6 pan and they were perfectly done in 25mins.
I made these with cake flour and did toss in the baking soda. Soft tender and addictive.
can ı put this mixture in a souffle cups? thanx
You can certainly try!
I just made these exactly as recipe directs and they were wonderful. 25 minutes was perfect time for my toaster oven. True, they don’t rise a lot, but my husband says these are his new favorite quick dessert.
Thanks for posting this recipe.I just made this and It was so quick to whip up. Instead of using all purpose flour, I used ground up oatmeal and topped it with walnuts. Yummy!
I made these today with the added baking soda and they turned out amazing. Very impressed, thanks for the recipe!
These brownies are excellent! I love brownies but sadly have a bitch of a time making them, they either come out too hard or not done enough. These are the first brownies I have made that come out really good. They do only make a thinner brownie in an 8×8 pan, which is enough for me. But if you are looking to bring some into work or an event, you may want to double the recipe.
These are absolutely amazing! I’ve made in countless times, one is in the oven as I type this! And I added some sea salt in the batter and sprinkled some on top after. Tastes pretty darn good too! (:
The easiest and most delicious brownie recipe ever…Thank you. I was able to do house chores whilst have these in the oven baking in the oven at the same time & they came out divine. A big hit with my kids. I dusted mine with a bit of icing sugar before serving.. Amazing.
Yum, these sound incredible. thanks for sharing this recipe.
OK I am a hopeless baker but these turned out sooo good! A little on the thin side though — did I do something wrong? I added the baking soda.
Otherwise, chewy most and so delicious! My 6 year old and I had the best time making/eating them.
Hmm, maybe your baking soda was expired? Or you didn’t add the full amount? Sounds like they still turned out great. I’m glad you enjoyed them!
they look amazing but to have 154 grams of fat in just an 8×8 pan, i’m going to try to resist making them.
How do you figure 154 grams of fat for the whole pan? My calculations yield 120g total. Per brownie (if 12 servings) is 197 calories – 10g fat – 23g carbs.
I looked up nutella nutritonal info http://www.nutellausa.com/nutrition-facts.htm There are 16 tablespoons in a cup. 1.25 cups (i misread that it was 1.5 cups so my numbers are a little off.) 16×1.25 = 20 tablespoons 2 tablespoons per serving so 10 servings @ 12 grams of fat each 120 fat and you have to add the fat from the eggs- 5 grams per egg, so 130 grams per whole pan, sorry i figured an extra 1/4 cup of nutella, stll 130 grams fat for a small pan still more than i want to try. they do look delicious though. I know myself and I would want at least 2 servings and that would be about 1/3 of my fat calories for the whole day.
I made these 2 days in a row. Added extra nutella and cut up cubury milk chocolate the first time making it. (It was TO DIE FOR) and second time, i doubled the recipe for a class potluck. It was gone in 5 minutes!
Thanks for posting this super easy genius recipe!
I’m only 11 and these sound so easy! I can’t wait to try them tomorrow!
Monika Hatch says
I made these brownies for my husband.
While I’m normally not a fan of them, omg
these are the best brownies I’ve ever had.
The second time I made them, I had to do
a double batch, cause everyone in the
neighboorhood loved them as well.
Have you ever made these in mini muffin tins? What is the baking time like? Same temperature?
i tried these just now but the batter was more like doughy… not at all runny like brownie batter….. is that normal? i followed this recipe exactly…
popped it in the oven anyway.. guess we’ll see how it turns out
is plain flour different from all purpose flour? lol i couldn’t find flour that was called all-purpose so just bought plain flour.
The dough may be somewhat stiff, but should still produce brownies as the pictures represent. Yes, all purpose flour = plain flour. Did these turn out well for you?
Hah-I made mine with two eggs from my backyard chickens, added a cup of chopped walnuts, and organic whole wheat flour! DE-LISH.
These are the best brownies I’ve ever had. They are sooo good. I added a super small pinch of baking powder and cooked them in ramekins. They turned out almost like lava cake. The outside and top were crisp and the middle was fudgy and yummy. I don’t even like nutella, but I had some that was about to expire so I used it to make this and now I’m a fan!
Andrea rumic says
Can you add peanut butter to the mix when making these nutella brownies?
I have never tried it, but you could give it a shot. You might like my 1-Minute Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake recipe, too! http://www.thecomfortofcooking.com/2015/01/1-minute-chocolate-peanut-butter-mug-cake.html
Hi do i need to sieve the flour? Thanks :)
You don’t need to sift the flour, but you can if you prefer.
I’m only 12 and I have just tried these. They are in the oven hope they turn out good! Everyone else’s comments say there amazing so really excited!
I’m only a kid and I’ve just made These . They are in the oven at the mo but can’t wait to try them everyone else’s comments say they are amazing so will just have to wait and see! Btw I love your website!
I made these today but used self rising flour. They were very tasty but more fluffy than chewy.
Making these tonight!! Do you think this would be good with cream cheese icing marbled through?
That might work. You may need to increase the baking time though.
A co-worker made these, and I was blown away by how delicious they were. I have a batch in the oven as I type this. These are exactly the type of brownies I love. Perfection!
I just wanted to ask what 1.5 cups mean in terms of tablespoons?
1 1/2 cups would be 24 Tablespoons. However, you are basically using the entire jar (as listed, 13 oz.) of Nutella. Hope that helps!
Marianne Soher says
Read it, did it, shared it with my grand’daughter…total 3 hrs there was nothing left of it! This cake is a winner! I am a good cook but cakes have never been my thing…till today! Will have to double the quantity next time! Thanks!
Just made them and added some chocolate chunks in them! Never enough chocolate. Heaven! Thanks for the recipe!
Yea I made these today….so freaking easy!! So super yummy! My kid who hates Nutella, loves these & won’t stay out of them!
this resipe is so awesome if made it 2 times and to make it just a little better after it was cooked I put salt on the top and it added crutch but you couldn’t taste the salt
My hubby hates Nutella. Hershey’s chocolate spreads are scrumptious and they come in a 13 oz jar, as well, so I’m going to try this recipe, using a jar of Hershey’s! Thanks so much!
I baked them in my Betty Crocker mini cupcake maker and let them bake for roughly 7-10 minutes and they turned out perfect and not flat at all!
Lynne Bennett says
I made these and they turned out very well, as l am used to English recipes l used 70 gram Self Raising flour, l didn’t realise at that point that all purpose flour was Plain! I also added the Baking Powder, l assumed that was what Baking Soda was, or is it what we call Bicarbonate of Soda? And although not as deep as l would have liked they were great, everyone who tried them couldn’t believe they were so simple. I cooked them at 170c. In England our ovens are set to centigrade. Thought l would mention these adaptations for English bakers!
My new favourite recipe for Coffee Mornings and Cake Fairs
Bicarbonate of soda and baking soda are the same thing, yes. Baking powder is entirely different. I’m so glad you enjoyed these brownies, though!
Just made these tonight and they were sooooo yummy! Not overly chocolatey, but that could be solved with some chocolate chips added in or frosting them (with extra Nutella!), and I’m wondering about mixing in some chopped hazelnuts to kick up that nutty flavour. I especially love how easy they were to make and how nicely they turned out. I added the baking soda for that cake-y texture :) Next time, I’ll have to double the recipe and make a bigger batch! Thanks for posting the recipe!
I just made these using a mini muffin pan. They turned out fantastic. I love the subtle, nutty flavor from the Nutella. Thanks for the recipe!
Nutella is my favorite cream bread or pancakes and waffles. There are many nice rules how to do it yourself. I do it in several ways often such a provision http://www.open-youweb.com/how-to-make-homemade-nutella/ idea also thank him check.
I just made these and they are amazing! The quickest brownie recipe I’ve ever found, perfect for satisfying a chocolate craving like no other. Great job! :)
Hi, what do you mean when you say ‘mix’ the ingredients? Using a hand mixer or just a spoon/whisk? Thanks!
I wanted to write a brief comment to say thanks to you for these precious facts you are giving out on this site. My extended internet look up has at the end of the day been paid with extremely good points to talk about with my good friends. Nutella Brownies

Yield: 9 large or 16 small brownies
Nutella Brownies are perfectly thick, chewy, fudgy, and slightly gooey with a hint of chocolate hazelnut goodness. One of the best brownies I’ve ever had!

Tessa's Recipe Rundown.
Taste: Ultra chocolaty with a hint of Nutella. Read the recipe notes on how to get even more chocolate hazelnut flavor.
Texture: Just wow. Outrageously thick, chewy, fudgy, and slightly gooey.
Ease: Easy but there are a few extra steps involved which really make these brownies the best. Just trust me on the recipe, it’s been carefully tweaked and perfected!
Appearance: Perfect squares of heaven!
Pros: Incredible brownies worthy of any occasion.
Would I make this again? Absolutely yes.
Running this blog as a full time business can often paradoxically mean a lot of time away from the kitchen. There’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work that goes into everything. That sometimes means getting relaxed time in the kitchen is like a special treat. Until I make a giant mess and am staring down a huge stack of dirty dishes.

But luckily when a recipe turns out the dishes are a small price to pay for a taste of something delectable. There’s a special gratification that comes from a homemade kitchen success and it feels that much better when it’s a recipe you’ve written and created.
Now, Nutella Brownies aren’t all that original. But this recipe is based off my Ultimate Brownie recipe which took SIX+ batches to perfect. I tweaked that recipe slightly by adding a bunch of Nutella, of course, and some other tweaks like a bit of cocoa powder to absorb some of the extra moisture. The result is something magnificent. I hope the photos really capture just how rich, fudgy, and gooey these brownies are. Nutella brownies + cold glass of milk = my idea of perfect. What’s yours?

Nutella Brownies

Nutella Brownies are perfectly thick, chewy, fudgy, and slightly gooey with a hint of chocolate hazelnut goodness. One of the best brownies I’ve ever had!
Ingredients
- 1 cup (170 grams) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 sticks (170 grams) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 4 ounces (113 grams) unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 1 1/4 cups (245 grams) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (150 grams) Nutella
- 3 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup (96 grams) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened (25 grams) cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, butter, and unsweetened chocolate. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute then stir. Continue heating in 30-second bursts, stirring between each burst, until the mixture is melted and smooth but not scorched. Remove from the microwave and let cool slightly. Stir in the Nutella.
In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the eggs and sugar on medium-high speed until light and thick, about 3 minutes. Beat in the vanilla extract. Stir in the cooled chocolate mixture with a rubber spatula. Add the flour, cocoa, and salt, folding gently until combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Bake until a tester comes out with moist crumbs still attached, 35 to 40. Do not overbake, you want to err on the side of underbaking. Let cool to room temperature. Serve at room temperature, warmed, or chilled.
Recipe Notes
The Nutella flavor is slightly muted with baking. To punch it up, feel free to add a tablespoon of Frangelico to the batter or a cup of toasted chopped hazelnuts if you want a bit of crunch.
For this recipe I recommend

WHOA! The gooey factor on these are OFF THE CHARTS! These look amazingly delicious! I’m drooling!
Can’t wait to try these, Tessa! We love your ultimate brownies!
WOW! These look amazing…making them this weekend. Nutella “anything” gets my attention!
Whoa! I mean, this brings brownies to a whole new level! Seriously the most fudgy brownies I’ve seen in a long time, must make!!
So I just opened the email you sent and found these staring at me in the face … It’s so not fair of you to do that! 🙂
Seriously, my mouth instantly started watering. They look incredible!
These brownies look sooo good! They look so thick, and chewy!
Hi Tessa, I discovered your blog a while back because I stumbled upon your Cookies and Cream cookbook at my local library. I wanted to say that I am really loving your blog and have pinned a lot of recipes that I want to try. I am also planning on signing up for your Food Blog Academy training courses and think that it’s great that you are offering these online classes.
Hi Neeli! Thanks so much for your comment. So glad you happened to stumble upon my book at the library – how cool!
Tessa, these might be the best looking brownies I’ve ever seen – you seem to have such a knack for making killer brownies! You go girl! 🙂
Awe thanks Joan!!
I want to make these for a crowd this Labor Day. Can I double the recipe and have it turn out okay? Any hints are welcome! Thanks! And blog on! Margi 🙂
Hi Tessa, when do you add the Nutella? Will bake this soon. Thanks!
Can I substitute 6 oz of chocolate for the 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips? The chocolate chips we have here do not melt that much. Thanks again!
Hi Kathy! The Nutella is added into the melted chocolate (see the very last sentence of paragraph 2 in the recipe). And yes – you can substitute chopped semisweet chocolate!
My daughter enjoys baking, we find it difficult to get cream cheese in India or rather its expensive too, any other substitue for cream cheese. thanx Joan.
Can you use dark chocolate? I love At least 80% dark chocolate. Will that make a difference? Milk chocolate hurts my stomach.
These brownies are amazing! I’m lucky I was giving them as a gift, otherwise I would’ve eaten them all myself. So easy to make too.
So glad you liked the recipe! They are quite addicting aren’t they? 😉
Hello Tesse, Thankyou for sharing. I like this recipe.Thank.
I LOVE your ultimate brownie recipe, and this one is another winner!! I have featured this scrumptious recipe in the Absolute Best Brownie Recipe Roundup over at dreamingofleaving.com… keep those yummy ideas coming 🙂 xo
These brownies were great! My kids are not big on brownies and they loved them! Thanks for the recipe 🙂
My new favorite brownie recipe! Thanks for the recipe!
Can’t wait to make this recipe! Some brownie recipes are just cocoa but these are loaded with different kinds of chocolate. Wow, I can tell these are going to be amazing!
Hope you try them soon! More chocolate = more amazing-ness right?!
How long do you cook it for?
One of the best brownie recipes, and instructions easy to follow. Thanks!
So glad you liked it, Emma!
Does it have to be sea salt?
Holy crap! These are super delicious! What a nice random Tuesday treat. Heaven.
Hi, whar size bakind dish and what do you mean by “prepared”?
Looks yummy! If you use Himalayan sea salt you will get extra minerals in your diet. It’s the only salt to use, ever. It is pink in color. It’s much more healthier than regular salt. Google it and read about it. If you don’t already know. Going to try these. I’m a chocoholic. Ha Thanks !
Hi Theresa. These brownies are amazing… my batches keep coming put very soft on the middle and runny. I love the gooey factor but it’s a little too much. What could I be doing wrong? I did substitute semi sweet choc for normal choc. Thanks
What kind of baking dish are you using? Also, are you checking your oven temp with a thermometer? Many ovens run a little cold :/
I accidentally used an entire cup of nutella will that be a problem?
Where’s the nuts? Nutella Brownies with butterscotch chips and walnuts?
Half a cup of each?
Thanks tessa you are agreat women.
I love brownies and l can’t wait to make this brownies
I’m at high altitude – should I adjust the recipe? And what adjustments do I make? Thanks! They look awesome!
These are OK brownies.
There are better much simpler recipes.
I followed this to the letter and the Nutella doesn’t come through – for me it’s just added empty calories and nasty additives.
A good brownie none the less.
Love you Tessa. I’ve been trying many brownie recipies but yours is the best!
Thrilled to hear it!
These are the best brownies to ever come out of my oven! They are SO GOOD
Wow, Elle! Loved reading this 🙂 The best things in life are worth the work, right?!
Hi Tessa, These look great. I don’t like Nutella-can I substitute with cookie butter?
I’m not sure as I’ve never tried that. I just can’t believe you don’t like Nutella! 😉
Wonderful recipe, I have made it 3 times in the last 4 days! The last time instead of Nutella I added peanut butter and espresso , so good!
That’s just wonderful to hear, Melissa! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment 🙂
Hello Tessa, Inwould lie to try your recipie, it sounds awesome. As you said 3 eggs plus 1 yolk, does that mean 3 eggs white plus 1 full egg? Thanks in advance for your reply!
My husband is a brownie fanatic! These are officially the best ones I’ve made OR eaten anywhere! Restaurant quality. Just made a second batch for a friends party now. Thanks for a fabulous recipe Tessa!
So so so happy to hear that Kimberley! Thanks for taking the time to comment 🙂
would I be able to use a dark chocolate say 80% and normal milk chocolate chips as been from the uk we don’t get semisweet and unsweetened chocolate.
Hi. I know it wont last long but I wonder how long can we keep the brownies?
hi..don’t you think the normal brownies recipe is totally sweet or even too sweet?. i personally think that all bownies must reduce the amount of sugar used in each recipe.. i’ve try few of your recipes and others too as a try and 2nd time onwards when i make brownies i will reduce like quarter of half of the sugar usage in the recipe. and everybody loves it!
These look fabulous! I hate cakey brownies too. These look super ooey gooey and delicious. I dont have unsweetened cocoa powder or unsweetened chocolate on hand. Could I just use regular chocolate and cocoa powder?
How can I puf this recepi as Favorite? Was the Best Brownie I ever have.
hey! i want to make these but i dont have cocoa powder where i live? is there a substitute i can use or not use it at all in this recipe?
Hi Tessa! I LOVE your recipes & am making these brownies for the second time this week! The liquor store lady laughed when I showed up looking for Frangelico for a brownie recipe! IMO Frangelico is necessary to not completely lose the hazelnut flavor.
I am writing because I think the recipe needs a weight correction. After Flour it says 3/4c (3.4oz) and it should be (3 3/4 oz). Thanks!
That’s awesome, Debbie! Great idea on the Frangelico 🙂 And thanks for pointing out the flour weight, I don’t even know how ounces snuck in there since everything else is in grams! I’ve corrected it
If I were wanting to double this recipe, would you recommend making it in a 90 13th pan or using two 8×8 pans?
I’d say two 8×8-inch pans, only because I haven’t tested baking times for 9×13.
Hi, these look so amazing. Can we use dark chocolate instead of unsweetened chocolate? If yes, by how much should the sugar be reduced?
Hi Tessa, can I bake this recipe in a 13x9x2 inch pans? I wanted to try this too. So so love your Ultimate brownies. And everybody in my household loved it. Thank you so much for your great recipes.
Glad to hear that, Kei! Sure, a 9×13 pan should work. I’m not sure if you’re wanting to double the recipe to bake in that pan, or maintain the recipe for a thinner brownie?
This recipe is just amazing. Too bad I can’t upload the picture. The texture is rich and gooey.
One thing though:
– you don’t get to taste the Nutella which was kind of disappointing (for my daughter)
– I only added 1 cup of sugar instead of 1 1/4, which turned out just fine. (Besides I didn’t have unsweetened choc just bittersweet so I thought it was going to be too sweet)
The result was just fantastic! Thanks a lot.
Delicious! These are the absolute best brownies I have ever tried. Thank you for the outstanding recipe!
Amazing recipe… Can you suggest some substitute fir egg in this recipe?
don’t get me wrong these brownies are really good! but I’ve been looking for some time now a recipe of nutella brownies but that will taste a lot to nutella.. The thing is I tried once a batch of brownies that I fell in love with and they tasted a bunch like nutella obviously I wasn’t given the recipe 🙁 So I have ever since been trying to decipher it.. with no luck.. Aside from that personal issue they are very nice
Tessa, just want to thank you for providing the quantities in grams as well. That saves so much time for all the US recipe lovers around the world! Looking forward to try this one!
All I can say is these brownies are absolutely amazing! My son and I can’t get enough of them! Thank you, Tessa! 🙂
I tried this recipe and followed each step exactly- it came out perfect! Ended up serving it at a bridal shower and all the ladies loved it (they were like, YOU made these?? FROM SCRATCH?!) Best brownie recipe I’ve ever tried. Doesn’t really taste like Nutella but the taste and texture are very good. Thank you for sharing!
Fabulous, so happy to hear that! If you want more chocolate hazelnut taste, try adding about 2 tablespoons Frangelico to the batter. You can also add chopped hazelnuts! 🙂
Tessa! Oh, woman! These brownies are heaven on a plate! They are soft, decadent, gooey, and truly delicious! I added some crunch by mixing in some hazelnuts but it is totally optional. Thank you so much!
Yay!! So glad you enjoyed the recipe, Maria 🙂
Just making these now – smell amazing but have been in the oven for an hour !! very gooey in the centre
– cannot understand where i went wrong
What kind of baking pan did you use? Do you check your oven temperature with an oven thermometer?
Honestly, I can’t thank you enough for this recipe! Literally the best brownies I’ve ever made, they are absolute perfection! The only think i tweaked was i put 1 cup caster sugar instead of the amount the recipe asked cuz granulated sugar never melted properly when I made the ultimate brownies. My family loved it! Thank you so much!
I wanted to know, if I want to add more nutella to the recipe by for example cutting down the amount of chocolate and replacing it with nutella, will it work?
I am making this recipie for the 3rd time in a month. Truly the best brownies I have ever made. My husband absolutely loves them….so do I. 🙂
Thanks, Tessa, for all the time and energy you put into each detail. I’m so grateful I’ve found you!
I’m so happy to hear that!!
Just saw I spelled recipe with one too many i’s. If you could correct that would be great.
NEVER in my wildest dreams did i ever think there would be a day a Chocolate Cure would come to pass. Love & probably eat too much of it. 1 small bite of these did the trick, believe i’ve been cured for life. Sounded great, awesome texture. Wish i hadn’t wasted my good nutella, liqueur or roasted hazelnuts. NO Nutella flavor or even a hint of it is detectable. They are over the top chocolate. Maybe ice cream would cut some of it. Love your other bar recipes, thank you for sharing those. Would never make these again however, sickeningly rich. Wanted to love ’em & be proud to share, least fav recipe.
When I make a new recipe, I follow it by the letter because I fell that the creator has made changes and adjustments to get it right and I should honor those efforts. I did that with this recipe. I have made a lot of brownies in my life, I am not a trained chef/cook, but I have to say that this recipe needs work. Tessa says that the Nutella flavor is slightly muted. Actually, it disappeared completely. The amount of butter is overwhelming. A day later, just picking up a small chunk results in a hand wet with butter. I have never ever thrown brownies away before, there is always some redeeming factor, but these are coming close to the waste basket. I cant imagine that a strict interpretation of this recipe would turn out any different in someone else’s hands. Sorry, I love to cook and I love to eat, I do not criticize for the fun of it.
I tried these brownies and they turn out exactly how shown in these pics. Just make sure to use good quality chocolates and these will be the best brownies youve ever made.
Wow, very delicious. Thanks for the recipe. That good for new event 🙂
Hi Tessa, l have tried this recipe ample of time and my family and friends loves it. But i thought of doubling the recipe. Should i double the time of whisking the eggs as well? Don’t want ended up with fluffy brownie as i love dense chewy brownie.
Hi Tessa!! I’ve made your ultimate brownie recipe endless times and was so excited to try this one out… what better way to demo Nutella brownies than for a crowd of 200+?! It was a HUGE hit at the event and I’m making them again now – I put them in the oven 5 minutes ago actually haha!!
Oh my goodness!! That’s so amazing!! Thanks for sharing this, Mary 🙂 🙂 🙂
received reviews of Oh My God from my wife’s colleagues. Best brownies I’ve ever made. Will try to ramp up the hazelnut flavour next time.

Nutella Brownies
YIELD:
Ingredients Nutrition
- 1 ⁄2 cup all-purpose flour (unbleached)
- 1 ⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup nutella
- 1 ⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ⁄2 cup unsalted butter, melted, room temperature
Directions
- Put rack in center of the oven. Preheat oven at 325°F Put parchment paper in the bottom of a 9 inch square pan (but taking care to let exceed a strip of parchment paper on each side (2 sides) and butter the two other sides). Sorry for this sentence, I had so much trouble translating it LOL.
- In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, with an electric mixer, beat eggs, nutella, brown sugar and vanilla until the mixture is creamy and homogeneous, about 2 minutes. At low speed, add dry ingredients alternating with melted butter.
- Spread in the pan. Cook 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of cake comes out with lumps and not completely clean.
- Let cool in the pan about 2 hours. Remove from pan and cut in squares.
