When it comes to athleticism, agility, speed, energy level, and sense of adventure, the Cane Corso (CAH-nay COR-so) easily outdoes the other mastiff breeds.

This robust dog needs his share of exercise, but above all he requires personal interaction and lots of companionship. He lives for his family and may become destructive if left alone too much.

Cane Corso puppies should be friendly and trusting with strangers. With proper socialization, they become more aloof and discerning as they mature.

As with all mastiffs, socialization is an absolute requirement to promote the correct temperament, which should be protective in a calm and discriminating way. Unfortunately, an awful lot of people are breeding or raising these dogs in irresponsible ways and the result is an awful lot of Cane Corsos with unstable or aggressive temperaments that can be dangerous to innocent people.

Though the Cane Corso was not used for dog-fighting, dog aggression (often very serious) can still be a problem. He should be thoroughly socialized with other dogs from an early age. I wouldn't keep a Cane Corso with another large dog of the same sex.

The Cane Corso is more attentive to his owner and more responsive to training than other mastiffs. Though quite dominant and strong-willed, he will respect an owner who is confident and consistent.

General Appearance

Put on the computer what the public asks for, not everything about the US.

I asked for a total medal count. I have been looking for 20 minutes and still cannot find it.

I also asked for a specific medal count for a specific country and got a history of when they first started to compete in the Olympics. I asked for a medal count for 2018, as of today,

not a history of that country.

How To Grade Your Dog's Food

1) For every listing of "by-product", subtract 10 points

2) For every non-specific animal source ("meat" or "poultry", meat, meal or fat) reference, subtract 10 points

3) If the food contains BHA, BHT, or ethoxyquin, subtract 10 points

4) For every grain "mill run" or non-specific grain source subtract 5 points

5) If the same grain ingredient is used 2 or more times in the first five ingredients (i.e. "ground brown rice", "brewer's rice", "rice flour" are all the same grain), subtract 5 points

6) If the protein sources are not meat meal and there are less than 2 meats in the top 3 ingredients, subtract 3 points

7) If it contains any artificial colorants, subtract 3 points

8 ) If it contains ground corn or whole grain corn, subtract 3 points

9) If corn is listed in the top 5 ingredients, subtract 2 more points

10) If the food contains any animal fat other than fish oil, subtract 2 points

11) If lamb is the only animal protein source (unless your dog is allergic to other protein sources), subtract 2 points

12) If it contains soy or soybeans, subtract 2 points

13) If it contains wheat (unless you know that your dog isn't allergic to wheat), subtract 2 points

14) If it contains beef (unless you know that your dog isn't allergic to beef), subtract 1 point

15) If it contains salt, subtract 1 point

1) If any of the meat sources are organic, add 5 points

2) If the food is endorsed by any major breed group or nutritionist, add 5 points

3) If the food is baked not extruded, add 5 points

4) If the food contains probiotics, add 3 points

5) If the food contains fruit, add 3 points

6) If the food contains vegetables (NOT corn or other grains), add 3 points

7) If the animal sources are hormone-free and antibiotic-free, add 2 points

8) If the food contains barley, add 2 points

9) If the food contains flax seed oil (not just the seeds), add 2 points

10) If the food contains oats or oatmeal, add 1 point

11) If the food contains sunflower oil, add 1 point

12) For every different specific animal protein source (other than the first one; count "chicken" and "chicken meal" as only one protein source, but "chicken" and "fish" as 2 different sources), add 1 point

Cane Corso kan anbefales pе det sterkeste, er fullt lovlige hunder е ha i Norge, de er utrolig lydige og godluntede hunder, veldig kjжrlige ovenfor eier og mennesker generellt. Krever mye da de er ekstremt aktive, og vil alltid teste grenser for е prшve е dominere om den ser en mulighet til det, sе en mе vжre dominant ovenfor hunden, men det krever ikke mye, de prшver seg av og til men er lette е sette pе plass :)

Fantastisk rase, helt uaktuelt е bytte rase. Har 2 barn 11 og 14, har aldri hatt noen form for utfordringer i forhold til mine eller andres barn. Veldig lette е dressere og er noen skikkelig kosebamser.

min cane corso sier: Har en cane corso tispe pе 8 еr som har fеtt diabetis. om andre fеr det sе har de det kjempe bra og er i full livsglшd. merker inngen ting pе oppfшrsel el livs kvalitet. uten om det er litt mer arbeid med blod prшver og insulin sprшyte morgen og kveld. opperasjonen kom pе litt over 10 000. og ca 500kr i mnd med medisin utgifter. men de er vert det. dyrelegen sa at 9 av 10 hunder som fеr det blir avlivet, har man hund sе har man det . vi avliver ikke mor el far om de fеr diabetis.

Blir litt satt ut av noe av det jeg leser her. OM man har problemer med hund som biter osv. Aktivisering er tingen en CC mе fе lov е bruke hodet, kroppen hver dag. OM man trener litt hver dag е hunden fеr en lang tur blir de roligere, sover i steden for е tygge/bite. Men om en hnd vil tygge pе deg hele tiden si NEI snu deg vekk е overse den totalt MEN du MЕ huske е skryte (flink gutt) med en gang den er rolig. Forsшk е avlede med en positiv trening pе sшk osv. En hund som biter pе deg trenger е fе ut frustrasjon og energi. Et kurs 2 ganger i uka hadde nok ogsе hjulpet der kan man ogsе fе noen gode rеd. Det kan ogsе hjelpe med en sprayflaske е sprute vann hver gang den forsшker е bite. (spray е si STOPP samtidig.) Vi bruker STOPP i steden for nei. Nei brukes mye i vanlige samtaler sе vi valgte et ord vi skjelden bruker. Vi har en CC pе 8mnd han er kjempe fin, vil si det er den ultimate rase:) Men den mе fе jobbe med hele seg, da fеr man en rolig avbalansert hund:))

Ellers er han en utrolig fin hund,ser han har et utrolig potensiale i seg og godt lynne, han gеr utrolig fint i bеnd og er utrolig kosen :)

Cas sier: Det vi fant ut med vеr Cane Corso tispe pе 4 er og "forvise" henne til en fast "Nei-fy-skam sei- ikke bra" krokk og derreter finner ut av at opfшrselen er ikke akseptert. og gе fra hunden liggene pе den plassen i et par minuter, derreter kalle pе hunden og se om den har forstеtt.

Har en Cane Corso valp pе 5 mnd som biter veldig mye.. Han kan vжre snill som bare det, men fеr altfor ofte tulltak som innebжrer biting og brutal hopping(med tanke pе at han er 30 kilo nе blir det ganske brutalt), det virker som om han gjшr det bеde for е leke og for е innta en sjefsrolle. Dette er veldig frustrerende da bitingen gjшr vondt selv om han ikke tar i alt han makter. Er det noen som har gode tips til hvordan man skal ta han for det og fе satt han pе plass? Selv bruker jeg е fе lagt han i gulvet pе rygg og sitter oppе han til han roer seg.

kjempe hunder, men trenger en stшdig og retferdig hеnd i oppdragelsen, man trenger ikke anskaffe seg slike hunder uten at man virkelig har tid og energi til og oppdra dem skikkelig slik at rasen ikke fеr et dеrlig rykte pе seg pga enkelt personer som anskaffer seg slike hunder og ikke har peiling pе hva de driver med :)

Brith sier: Har hatt cc noen еr nе. Det er en flott kamerat og brukshund. Cc er ogsе en allert vakthund, som varsler det den finner mistenkelig. En cc er ogsе en hund som mе sosialiseres tidlig, for е omgеs andre hunder (der er det ogsе individuelle varianter). Tispene blir generest tidligere moden i forhold til hannene, som er voksene ved ca. 3-4 еrs alder. Man mе alltid respektere en cc for det den er/avlet til. Den er avlet til е ta, til tider egene beslutninger og er en gjeter og vokterhund, som ogsе jobber sammens med mennesket. En toppers hund, som liker е bruke bеde kropp og hjernen :o). Utrolig kroppskontroll og spenst. Lite underull og det er godt med et varmt dekken pе kalde dager. Noe HD er det pе rasen (som pе andre store tunge hunder).

3 hanner og 3 tisper i fragen sort og sort brindel

Jeg har en Cane Corso, han er nе 2 1/2 еr og er bare helt nydlig. Dette er en kjempefin, og har ett utrolig godt lynne.

Cane Corso er fullt ut lovlig i Norge, og husk. det er ikke bestandig hundene det er noe feil med, men eieren. Hunden min veier 62 kilo og jeg 69 kilo. kan jo skjшnne at man mе ha kuskus pе hunden sin nеr den er sе stor og ikke minst muskulшs.

Anbefaler pе det sterkeste en slik hund. Og selv om de er store sе tar de IKKE stor plass da de som oftest er veldig rolige.
